For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about helping others and knew that I wanted to work in the field of psychotherapy. I received my BA in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton and went on to Columbia University to complete my Masters in Social Work. After graduate school, I worked at Columbia University Center for Women's Reproductive Care—one of New York’s top-rated fertility centers—and gained a profound understanding of the deep pain and grief individuals and couples experience while pursuing treatment. I immediately felt drawn to this field and have continued to grow and learn over the past 10+ years. I continued my work at New England Fertility Institute and was then brought on by WIN Fertility to help create, develop and manage their Reproductive Behavioral Health Program. I work with those navigating infertility, Assisted Reproductive Technology, third party reproduction, elective egg freezing and those who are contemplating whether to pursue parenthood.
I have also been trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) and have a deep understanding how challenging new parenthood can be. Becoming a parent is an extremely stressful transition, regardless of how much a pregnancy was wanted. I feel honored to have the privilege of supporting individuals through this pivotal moment in their lives and help them navigate the abundance of feelings that accompany their new role as mom or dad.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative. Together, we would define your goals and explore your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. We will work to discover effective coping mechanisms and strategies to help you understand and manage your feelings.
