Specializing in Reproductive and Perinatal Psychotherapy

Hi. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Alyssa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a specialty in Reproductive and Perinatal Mental Health. My practice is mostly dedicated to supporting individuals through struggles with infertility and conception, miscarriage, infant loss, TFMR, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and integrative. I have been trained in many therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and also regularly use mindfulness techniques to manage stress and anxiety. I believe that we are all hard-wired for healing, and it is a privilege to walk alongside those who are hurting and begin that journey together.

I believe working with a reproductive and perinatal mental health specialist makes a difference.

Both reproductive and perinatal mental health are all about how people feel emotionally during infertility, conception, pregnancy and any of its complications or hard decisions, giving birth, and the time after having a baby. It’s a term that encompasses things like stress, anxiety, and feeling down during these stages. Feeling supported during this challenging time is essential, and you deserve to have your specific needs and concerns addressed.

Thanks to hard work and training, I am uniquely equipped to address the emotional and psychological aspects that often accompany issues such as infertility, pregnancy loss, or postpartum struggles. I’ve developed a deep understanding of the intersection between reproductive health and mental well-being.

I’ll work with you to provide a safe space for processing your feelings and developing coping strategies, allowing you to navigate the complexities of your journey with greater resilience and emotional well-being. Investing in your mental health during these critical moments can make a significant difference in your overall experience.
